Hormuz, EV, chickens and self-sufficiency ...

Despite the geo-political circumstances I am flying to New York for the month of May with cultural events aplenty.  The only unknown is whether flights will still be operating normally for the return to Sydney.  For the third year in a row I am taking ANA via Tokyo.  It is half the price of Qantas - who I would love to patronise but my patriotism does not extend to $15,000 return business class when ANA is half that and the flights are of comparable duration.  Furthermore, their service and cabins are superlative with two long legs (9 and 12 hours) split by a few hours in a classy lounge with bathrooms, bakery, brewed coffee, bar  lounge and more.

I have been watching the Hormuz Monitor web site to note numerous ships slipping through but still over 200 waiting to pass.  I just hope some of those getting through are able to relieve some of the shortages in our part of the world.
